Product Description
A versatile and well-fitting cardigan is a piece we all need in our wardrobes.
This cardigan features staggered cables on the fronts that will keep your knitting interesting while allowing the natural beauty of your yarn to come through.
It also has minimal seaming, as the body of this cardigan is knit in one piece from the bottom up. At the underarms, the fronts and back are finished separately to the shoulders, with short rows for a beautiful fit. Shoulders are seamed together, then the sleeves are picked up and knit down to the cuffs in rows or rounds (for no sleeve seams) with slight tapering to the cuffs.
The right and left front button bands are then picked up and knit, with a short seam at the back neck. Pockets are knit in, with a little bit of sewing to attach the pocket linings.
Cable pattern is both written out and charted. Only one basic cable twist is used throughout, making this a fairly simple stitch pattern.
Shown in Pembroke Worsted. Substitutes listed.
