I used Findley to make the "Ripen" shawlette by Meghan Jackson. Absolutely a dream to work with. It's smooth, no knots, deliciously soft, and the finished project looks exactly right. Color is deeply saturated and perfectly consistent. Stands up to blocking and frogging.

This is a yarn to use for that special gift or occasion, but it's reasonably priced enough that you should treat yourself as well. The high skein price is misleading--this yardage is plenty for a large shawl, and you can do a sweater with 3-4 balls.

I was excited to use Juniper Moon Findley to make at the patten Shleeves - a shawl with sleeves. It knitted well, but when I blocked it - the water was RED!!!!! After using vinegar and soaklng a second time - the water was still RED. At the present time, I am drying the item with the vinegar still on the yarn and after it dries thoroughly, I plan to rinse it with plain water and block again. I am most disappointed in the color bleeding - Beware!!!!!!

    Comments about 24.95 Findley:

I have no negative comments for this yarn and it's been my go to yarn for many years of lace knitting. I've even used it doubled for knitted sweaters that call for sock or fingering weight yarns.

Making a lace scarf. The yarn is textured but soft. Has good body while retaining a silky feel. Would certainly buy again.

        Comments about 24.95 Findley:

I'm a long-time fan of Findley. I used it to knit a cowl with a lily of the valley pattern and it came out well - soft, with a nice drape. The jewel tone color is beautiful and consistent and it was a real pleasure to the fingers while knitting. I did find a few areas in the skein where there was a break in one of the plies, and some areas where it felt a bit rough.

I bought my first yarn for a wedding shawl for my future daughter-in-law (Alberta) It was so soft and easy to knit. Then I bought it in lime green for a shawlette for my rehearsal dinner dress (Hortense) I love this yarn!

The color that arrived was very different from the picture sample. When I called they said it wasn't different on their computer and said I could return it but they would not refund the postage. That's fine, but I wont be ordering anything else from them.

                  Comments about 24.95 Findley:

I love, love, love this yarn! This time I bought "wedding" colors - white and off white, but I've bought other colors in the past and they're richly saturated! Unlike other yarns with the same fiber content, my experience with Juniper Moon Findley is there are no lumps or bumps of uneven fibers in the spinning of this yarn. After knitted up, it's cushy and soft. It blocks spectacularly - showing lace patterns beautifully.

                    Comments about 24.95 Findley:

I bought the first skein while on vacation in Bar Harbor Maine last summer intending to make a light weight summer wrap like mini shawl. But in the working, I discovered it was too warm for summer wear. So frogged my work, re-wrote the pattern to be more spring/fall full size wrap and needed a second skein which I bought from you folks. I'm putting the finishing touches on it now. . . In plenty of time for September wearing.
