Product Details
Valley Yarns Northampton is a workhorse yarn that you'll come back to time and time again. We sourced a soft Peruvian wool and dyed it in a beautiful collection of solid colors and heathered shades. It is a dream to felt and a superb choice for garments, blankets, and accessories especially cabled or colorwork projects! Northampton is beautiful and economical, too.
New to knitting or crochet? Valley Yarns Northampton is the perfect choice for those who are just starting out or looking to hone their skills. Well-defined, easy to see stitches make for much less guesswork when it comes to figuring out where your needles or hook should go next. Once you've mastered the basics, Valley Yarns Northampton rises magnificently to the challenge of more complicated designs.

Great yarn! Good stitch definition for cables, and it doesn’t need to be put up into a ball. Home run yarn.
This is a great non super wash choice for a cardigan. It was the suggested string for a test knit. I’ve seen the brand but never chose it. It glides through my fingers, it will bloom nicely after blocking. The pattern will be nicely defined. Looking forward to using more colors in a stranded piece.
Not a good choice for my pattern.
Great for felting
I've used a few different Valley Yarns. I love them. They're easy to work with and the finished product always looks beautiful
The yarn felts beautifully, gorgeous colors and I DON'T have to wind it!
The Valley Yarns I have used are high quality yarns. I highly recommend them. Two reasons for four (or 4-1/2) stars rather than five: colors aren’t too exciting (but I am very picky about colors!) and yarns aren’t luscious-to-die-for, just nice well-made yarns. Coming from the Connecticut Valley area, I’m partial to the town names. In the years since the yarn brand appeared, I’ve used quite a few, including yarns named after my two home towns—little hugs from an area I love.
Valley Northampton yarn is soft and bouncy. It's just a little scratchy directly on the skin.
Webs has a low inventory of lots of things right now. Very discouraging when items are in sale but not available.
Nice yarn great to work with I think I will continue to use this yarn for future project it works up quickly nice sheen soft and makes warm sweaters
