Multimedia Coordinator

WEBS - America’s Yarn Store is looking for a dynamic individual to join our team as Multimedia Coordinator to manage our photography and video production. This is a full-time position, Monday–Friday in our Northampton, MA location. This person will handle a variety of responsibilities including but not limited to:

  • Manage product photography (yarn, garments, tools, etc.) for yarn.com, marketing, and catalogs

  • Maintain photo libraries in Adobe Lightroom and SmugMug including meta data and tagging for use throughout the company

  • Photograph events and happenings at WEBS including candid shots of staff and customers to feature in marketing and the blog

  • Shoot, edit, and publish all video including technique videos, product videos, and documentary style video for behind the scenes and events

  • Occasionally design flyers, stickers, booklets, signs, or bags, as needed in Photoshop

  • Recommend upgrades and improvements to our photography equipment and studio

  • Work with our multimedia assistant to ensure photography deadlines are met

  • Work with the marketing team on creative ideas for content needs

  • Assist the Ecommerce Manager and marketing team with various tasks and projects as needed.

We are looking for someone with the following qualifications:

  • Desire to work and grow in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience with product photography using a light box and in a studio setting and using models and mannequins

  • Proficiency with Mac & PC based applications, including Photoshop, Adobe Lightroom, and Final Cut Pro X

  • Photography experience including attention to detail, awareness of color accuracy, sharpness, and lighting a must

  • Video production

  • Knitting experience desired but not required.

This person should also be detail-oriented, self-motivated, proficient using a camera, and have a strong work ethic. We have a fun but very fast-paced environment.

Design Coordinator

WEBS - America’s Yarn Store is hiring a Design Coordinator to support our Tahki Stacy Charles and String brands. We are looking for a dynamic individual with previous design experience and interest in fashion. This person will be an integral part of our team and must be excited to work in a fast-paced and growing company. The position is based in our Northampton, MA office. This position offers a tremendous opportunity to the right candidate to help support Tahki Stacy Charles and String. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Support lead designer and outside designers

  • Oversee communication with designers around submissions, contracts, yarn needs, etc.

  • Handle all sample knitting/crochet necessary for Tahki Stacy Charles and String patterns through existing and new contacts with sample knitters/crocheters

  • Prepare all materials for sample knitters & designers, give or send out to them

  • Maintain calendars and deadlines for Tahki Stacy Charles and String designs

  • Assist with the production of pattern books/booklets and individual PDFs

  • Offer knitting pattern support on Ravelry and via email and social media channels

  • Communicate knitting instructions following a design template and be able to interpret and explain to customers if they need further clarification

  • Assist with styling and offer suggestions for photoshoots


We are looking for someone with the following qualifications:

  • Experience with knitwear design

  • Strong fashion sense that translates appropriately for the Tahki Stacy Charles and String brands

  • Exceptional attention to detail

  • Strong knitting skills; ability to crochet would be beneficial as well, but not required.

  • Strong computer skills including publishing software, Google Docs, etc.

  • Candidate should possess a strong work ethic, desire to be an integral part of our team

  • Possess the ability to analyze pattern sales and trends

  • Strong communication, writing, and organizational skills

  • Willingness to travel to travel to NYC as needed for meetings and photoshoots

Email, Social Media & Marketing Coordinator

WEBS -- America’s Yarn Store is looking for a dynamic individual to join our team as our Email, Social Media & Marketing Coordinator for our Tahki Stacy Charles and String brands. The position is based in our Northampton, MA office. This person will work with the Marketing team and handle a variety of responsibilities including, but not limited to:

  • Both consumer and wholesale email communication: design, implement, and send weekly emails to customers of Tahki Stacy Charles and String. Responsible for creation of email campations from conception through implementation, including creative asset development and production, scheduling and deliverability, campaign analysis, A/B testing strategies, and new campaign recommendations

  • Maintain and grow email lists

  • Track all email performance using Email Service Provider tools and Google Analytics and provide weekly, quarterly, and ad-hoc reporting as necessary

  • Work with our Email Service Provider’s team to optimize and grow our email marketing

  • Attract and interact with customers through our social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Ravelry) for both Tahki Stacy Charles and String

  • Create engaging regular (daily+) posts and content for all social media platforms

  • Monitor all posts and messages to social media from our customers and respond in a timely manner

  • Create ads for all social media platforms and monitor performance

  • Create supporting materials to advertise new yarns and designs to wholesale vendors, including but not limited to yarn information sheets and look books

  • Stay up-to-day on email and social media marketing best practices, technologies, and trends

We are looking for someone with the following qualifications:

  • Strong communication, writing, and organizational skills are a must

  • Ability to connect in both a business-to-business and business-to-consumer environment

  • Ability to quickly  learn new programs and platforms and adapt to a changing environment

  • Desire to work and grow in a fast-paced environment

  • Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop and a good eye for graphic design

  • Proficiency with various platforms including Google Docs, Office, Word, Excel, etc.

  • Previous social media for business and/or email marketing experience preferred

  • Knitting experience preferred and helpful, but not necessary for the right candidate

  • Willingness to travel to travel to NYC as needed for meetings
