What you'll need
Product Description
If you love stitch patterns that deliver intricate-looking results but are actually quite simple to work, this is a great project for you.
This cowl is knit in the round with a 10-stitch lace panel that repeats all around. The yarnovers paired with single decreases create the look of a flat, wide left-twisting cable stitch without any cabling technique.
The simple-to-learn lace panel is both charted and written out. A few rounds of basic k1, p1 ribbing at the bottom and top of this cowl give it nicely finished edges.
Wrap this cowl around your neck twice, as shown, or wear it as a single draped loop (see image on next page).
The sample shown is knit in a worsted-weight 100% alpaca yarn. This pattern could easily be made in any number of worsted-weight merino, cashmere blend, or other soft yarn with great stitch definition.
