BabyCocktails Talisker PDF

The flowing lines of cables pair nicely with garter and slipped stitch detail on Baby Cocktails' Talisker, creating “panels” around the cowl. Each panel flares out just a bit in contrast to the slipped stitches, and these scalloped edges are big and bold and cozy, not small and dainty. Knit in the round, the lines of the pattern are easy to see and to memorize after a repeat or two. You can adjust for depth or width and notes on how to do so are noted in the pattern.

Size: 46” long around neck, 11” deep in cable panel, 9” deep at slipped stitch detail.
Yarn: Any worsted weight yarn, approximately 400–440 yards. Good choices are Valley Yarns Northampton, Cascade 220 or Berroco Ultra Alpaca.
Needles: US 8 long circular needles, or size to get gauge.
Gauge: Based on finished, blocked fabric. 20 sts/28 rows per 4” Row gauge shrinks in slipped stitch sections. Each single cable is about 1.5” wide. Each 34 stitch 4 cable section = 6.5” wide, each 12 stitch garter and slipped stitch section = 2.75” wide. Each 46 stitch repeat of pattern is just under 9.25” wide.
