Inis Oírr (Free)
Inis Oírr (pronounced “inish-eer”), named after the smallest of the Aran Islands, is influenced by traditional Aran knitting hailing from this region located in Galway Bay, Ireland.
Knit in Valley Yarns Northampton, a 100% wool worsted weight yarn, this is a multi-use garment that is meant to keep the wearer warm, even in the chilliest weather. Designed to be an heirloom, the varying textured stitches and cabling also make for an interesting and fun knit.
Inis Oírr is constructed seamlessly—the main body is made first in one piece, then the border is knit onto it, creating a seamless and continuous flowing cable around the main body.
