Jen Hagan Design Eamon Vest PDF

Covered with spiraling faux cables, the Eamon Vest from Jen Hagan Design is a classic children’s vest. It's sized for 12 months through 12 years and is worked in a worsted weight yarn. The Eamon makes a great layering garment for girls or boys! The vest is worked from the bottom up, which is worked in the round to the armholes. Chest pieces are then each worked flat separately and joined at the shoulders with 3-needle-bind -off. The collar and armhole edges are picked up and worked in the round in 1/1 rib. The mock cable pattern may easily be worked without a cable needle. The cable pattern is charted and written out.

Yarn Requirements: Approximately 230 (260, 300, 390, 475, 540, 600) yards of worsted weight yarn such as Universal Yarn Deluxe Worsted Tweed Superwash (90% Superwash Wool/ 7% Acrylic/ 3% Viscose; 100g/218yds)
Needles: US 8 (5.00mm)  two 16” & 24” circular and DPNs
Gauge: 18 sts & 24 rows/rnds = 4” in cable pattern, after blocking
