Jen Hagan Design Glentrekker Hats PDF

These Glentrekker Hats from Jen Hagan Design were created to swatch for the Glentrekker Cardigan. Those who purchase the cardigan pattern will receive this hat pattern for free. It’s a fun way to get gauge! The Slouch Hat is knit from the bottom up in the round and sports a diamond cable along one side. The Toque is riddled with cables, like the Glentrekker Cardigan. It’s worked as a flat swatch and then is seamed. The hat is finished with an applied cord and a crown worked in the round. Both are fun projects, whether you use them as swatches or not! The cable patterns are charted and written out.

     Slouch – 20 (21, 23)” circumference
     Toque – 19½ (21½)” circumference
Yarn Requirements: 125 yards of DK or light worsted weight yarn 1100 (1150, 1235, 1340, 1435, 1540, 1635, 1750, 1840) yards of DK or light worsted weight yarn such as Cascade Yarns 220 Superwash (100% Superwash Wool; 100g/220yds)
Needles: US 7 (4.50mm) 16" circular needle and DPNs
Gauge:
     Slouch – 21 sts and 28 rnds = 4” overall
     Toque – 24 sts & 28 rows = 4” in pattern
