The hat is knit in the round from the brim to the crown in a loose fabric, which will shrink to size when washed and blocked as directed. The colorwork pattern is in chart form only.

Sizes: 18 (20, 22)” head circumference
Finished Measurements: 18½ (20½, 22½)” circumference
Yarn Requirements: Worsted weight yarn such as Cascade Yarns 220 (100% Wool; 100g/220yds)
     MC – Approximately 200 (220, 300) yards shown in 9449 Midnight Heather (WEBS do not carry this color)
     CC – Approximately 100 (110, 150) yards shown in 9460 Dune Heather (WEBS do not carry this color)
Needles: US 10 (6.00mm) 16” circular and DPNs
Gauge: 14 sts and 16 rnds = 4” in stockinette stitch before felting

NOTE: The hat should come out approx one third larger than desired before felting for the finished product to be the correct size. However, felting is not an exact science.
