This is exactly the type of washable, mostly natural fiber yarn I was looking for to knit more tunics for my grandchildren and their second cousins. This is the first linen yarn that I've knitted with. When it arrived it felt a little stiff/rough in it's skein, but it's easy to knit with and feels softer than anticipated. I've previously made them with Hempathy and Debby Bliss Baby Cashmerino which have been well used and loved, but I didn't like the current color offerings. I like these colors so this may become my go to grandkid tunic yarn!
The color and texture is exactly what I was hoping for for my knitting project.Since it seems like it’s made with a pretty raw linen, it is a bit stiff to work with at first but softens up with use. This might be some good info to include with descriptions online.
Love this yarn and making a very large project with it. I needed one more skein and added - if possible send me a skein of a certain dye lot number. Since I’d not gotten the original 10 skeins from Webs I thought it was a long shot but no harm in asking. Imagine my delight to see that they did have the right dye lot to send me! I was so thrilled! Just over the top, wonderful customer service. I love Webs.
A good, summer weight dk yarn. Feels cool when worn. Due to amount of linen the yarn is stiff to work with. I suspect it will soften as it is worn and washed. Color is stunning; a beautiful blue. Works well in simple lace, and knit, purl patterns.
Based on the website picture I thought this yarn would have a more thick and thin appearance than it actually has. However, it is knitting up well, just not as I had expected.
