Flutter of the Wings PDF
Flutter of the Wings is a crescent shaped shawl worked from the bottom up. The pattern is worked both wrong and right side but it is easy enough to memorize and knit. Because of the shape, this shawl is very easy to wear and stays put on the shoulder. You can use lace-weight yarn for lacy shawl or you can use thicker yarn (Fingering/DK) for more textured effect.
Pattern includes charts and row-by-row written directions. If you would like to add beads to your shawl, instructions are included as to where to place the beads. The red-orange sample shown is knit with lace weight yarn at 7 pattern repeats for a shawl measuring approximately 64.5” across and 23” deep. The purple sample shown is knit with DK weight yarn at 3 pattern repeats for a shawl measuring approximately 43.3” across and 17” deep.
