Lyrical Knits Groot’s Cardigan of the Galaxy is the first in the
Cardigans of the Galaxy series, this comfortable cardi is inspired by the
character of Groot in the Guardians of the Galaxy movie series. Worked
seamlessly in a worsted weight yarn from the top down, Groot’s Cardigan a cozy
cardigan featuring a tree-like cable panel on the back, and smaller cables
along the v-neck front that mimic the look of branches. The cable
patterns are charted and written out.
Sizes: 32 (35, 38, 41, 44, 47, 50)” bust
Finished Measurements: 31¾ (34½, 37¾, 41, 43¾, 47, 49½)” bust
Yarn Requirements: 1500 (1675, 1915, 2115, 2285, 2455, 2570) yards of worsted weight yarn such as Malabrigo Rios (100% Superwash Merino Wool; 100g/210yds)
Needles: US 5 (3.75mm) 40” circular and DPNs
Gauge:
19 sts and 28 rows 4” in stockinette stitch, after blocking
38 sts and 28 rows = 6¼” in the cable pattern
