While supplies last, WEBS is pleased to offer Madelinetosh Pashmina Worsted in specially selected colors, including many coveted colors created for the famous Madelinetosh Yarn Club.

The soft sheen of Pashmina yarn, in a worsted weight! Madelinetosh Pashmina Worsted is a touchable blend of merino wool, silk and cashmere (like the famous pashmina scarves), with a four-ply construction that knits or crochets up into a soft, drapey fabric. This gorgeous yarn is machine washable, and like all Madelinetosh yarns, Pashmina Worsted is hand-dyed in small batches.

Please note: Each skein of Madelinetosh Pashmina Worsted is unique. There are no dye lots and skeins may vary. The yarn color you receive may look different than the color pictured.

I used this to make a sweater for my MIL. It is beautiful, soft, and seems like it should hold up well. I had to reknit the button band about four times and the yarn did not get worn and frayed like some do with repeated working. It did seem to grow quite a bit when I wet blocked it, but I put it in the dryer at low heat in a lingerie bag and it came out beautifully. The finished garment is quite fuzzy, however, and sheds like crazy. My colorway was Astrid gray and my black pants picked up the fuzz and looked like I had been holding a white cat. I'm worried that it will pill easily, given the fuzziness and other reviews.

I absolutely loved working with this yarn. Felt great, behaved very nicely. However, the sweater made with Pashmina began to pill with very little usage making the sweater look old and worn out. Loved working with this yarn, but for the price, would have expected it to tolerated being used, even a little!

Comments about MADELINETOSH Pashmina Worsted:

Such a cheerful, happy yarn, it absolutely invites the needles to begin. I am making a tee shirt type sweater with a scoop neck, and just got my swatches done last night. I chose size 8 needles instead of 7 as they made it a bit more drapey and soft.

    Comments about MADELINETOSH Pashmina Worsted:

This may be the most enjoyable yarn with which I have ever worked. It is like knitting a kitten. The result is a soft, squishy, cloud. I hope you will restock this amazing yarn. I have used the Pashmina in the fingering weight and enjoy this even more.

    Comments about MADELINETOSH Pashmina Worsted:

I will purchase Madelinetosh DK and now Pashima which was on sale to make little cowls and neck scarfs to get me through the winter and any cool evening. It is a pleasure to feel the yarn glide through my fingers and a feast for my eyes to watch these pieces come together.
