Hug
You-Me from Nelkin Designs is an easy-to-wear woolly hug… This fabulous women’s
shrug has an addictive construction that will keep you knitting. Hug You-Me
starts from the center out, and then the sleeves are created by working a flat panel
out to the cuff. Next, the stitches are picked up along the sleeve, and a panel
is worked to join the sleeves into the round. Finally, stitches are picked up
all the way around the inside of the shrug to pull it all together with a
collar that has a subtle short row shaping. The Hug You-Me lace pattern is
charted and written out.
Sizes: XS (S, M, L. 1X)
Finished Measurements: The Cardinal and Tisane model is shown in size S on a 34” bust, and the Artic Heather is shown in size M on a 34” bust
Bust – 28 (33¼, 40, 45¼, 52)”
Yarn Requirements: 710 (800, 900, 1000, 1200) yards of worsted weight yarn such as Cascade Yarns 220 (100% Wool;100g/220yds)
Needles:
US 7 (4.50mm) 32” or longer circular
US 8 (5.00mm) 24” & 32” or longer circular and DPNs
Gauge: 16 sts and 24 rnds = 4 in stockinette stitch in the round on US 8 (5.00mm), blocked
