Inspired by the edging in the Magnify MKAL, the Magnify Shawl is a beautiful, long crescent shaped shawl. First the sawtooth edging is worked over 39 stitches for the entire length of the border. The edging‘s “teeth” incorporate alternating sections of garter stitch, stockinette stitch, and gorgeous beaded ribbing. Once the edging is complete stitches are picked up along its straight edge and then simple garter stitch short rows are worked to create the shawl shape.
Finished Measurements: approx. 50" across top (not including edging) x 9½" deep at center
Yarn Requirements: 530 yards of fingering weight yarn
Needles: US 5 (3.75mm), US 7 (4.5mm) 32" circular
Gauge: 20 sts and 40 rows = 4” in garter stitch on smaller needle, blocked
