Nina Machlin Dayton Allouette Shawl PDF
The Alouette Shawl, a triangular beaded shawl, uses easy to memorize traditional lace patterns. The 10 page pattern includes 3 sizes plus instructions for making the shawl larger or smaller as desired for a truly customized fit. It includes both charts and written instructions, and uses between 510 and 970 size 6/0 seed beads.

Size: Small Shawlette (Medium Shawl, Large Shawl)
Finished Measurements: 40 x 19 (60 x 32, 76 x 38)” width by depth
Yarn Requirements: 345 (650, 850) yards fingering weight yarn. Blue Medium sample is knit in String Theory Caper Sock Isis. Green Small sample in Malabrigo Sock Lettuce.
Needles: US Size 5 24” circular needle (or longer)
- 510 (850, 970) size 6/0 seed beads
- Crochet hook small enough to fit into your beads
Gauge: Approximately 20 sts to 4” blocked in Chart B pattern
