Product Details
The Daphne Hat by Nina Machlin Dayton is a darling accessory with a leaf
lace brim. Pattern includes four sizes ranging from Baby to Adult Large and has the options to
increase “slouch” if desired. The brim uses the provisional cast on and then
grafted using the Kitchener Stitch or a three-needle bind off. Stitches are
then picked up along the top edge for the body of the hat. The leaf brim
pattern is charted and written out.
Sizes: Baby (Child, Adult S/M, Adult M/L)
Finished Measurements: 16 (18, 21, 23)” circumference
Yarn Requirements: Approximately 150 yards of worsted weight yarn such as Cascade Yarns 220 Superwash Aran (100% Superwash Merino Wool; 100g/150yds)
Needles:
US 6 (4.00mm)
US 8 (5.00mm) 16” circular and DPNs
Gauge:
18 sts (1 repeat of the Laurel Leaf Brim) = 2½” on US 6 (4.00mm)
20 sts = 4” in stockinette stitch on US 8 (5.00mm), unblocked
