Love this yarn!!! Making a baby blanket and it is coming out just perfect.
Plymouth Encore is perfect for so many projects. Hats, scarves, shawls, and more...there is a wonderful range of colors.. that is why I keep coming back to Plymouth Encore.
I often use Plymouth Encore yarn because it has both wool and acrylic yarn in it. This gives articles a good amount of washability and warmth to articles made from it. As I knit a lot for charity, I can feel safe in giving hats, scarves and/or mitts knowing that they will withstand constant use.
Encore is my go to yarn for afghans and baby things. Actually anything you need to be able to wash and dry in a variety of colors is a good use of encore. Great yarn reasonably priced.
I just found this yarn to be a little scratchy for a washable wool blend.
A nice blend of acrylic and wool which is good for knitting children’s clothing. Best of all, it has a large selection of colors which blend well with “Hot Cakes”.
I have knitted for at least 60 years and I enjoy encore yarn very much. It is wonderful for baby blankets and anything for children. It washes beautifully and has a wonderful hand. I worked in the yarn shop for 16 years and I’ve seen the best of the best and the worst of the worst but encore right up there at the top of the best because it is versatility.
Plymouth Emcore is my go to yarn for sweaters & scarves. It has the warmth of wool but washes & dries great. Perfect for children's & baby knits.
I usually knit with all wool yarn, but some projects require a yarn that can be easily laundered and is well wearing. For those reason, I like Encore for blankets and afghans. It has a soft hand and comes in a wide palette of colors. An excellent product.
This has been my go-to worsted weight for everyday projects. I love the wool-acrylic blend. It is soft on the fingers for knitting or crochet. Little to no splitting Great range of colors. I'm just sad that Plymouth is phasing out the Encore DK.
