Product Details
The Standard Turkish Spindle from Snyder Spindles weighs 1–1.1 oz (29-32 g). It's handmade from hard maple or walnut, the arms measure 4.5" and the shaft is 8". The shaft has a small finial at the top to hold the half hitch.
Turkish spindles have the unique advantage of creating a cop that doubles as a center-pull ball or plying ball! The shaft and arms can slide out of place once you’ve finished spinning, giving you a turtle-shell-shaped cop that leaves both ends of your singles free.
