Spinning for Weaving


Wondering how to spin the perfect yarn for your next weaving project? Planning it out from the raw fiber to the finished fabric, we will discuss the different fibers and wool breeds, strength, texture, and twist, with a bit of drafting practice to warp your loom with handspun that will become the weaving your imagination desires. Samples and inspiration for floor looms, rigid heddle, or tapestry weaving, this class will help you show off the special quality of your handspun yarns. Bring your spindle or wheel and be comfortable spinning a continuous yarn.

Skill Level: Advanced Beginner
Prerequisite: Must be comfortable spinning a continuous single on the device of your choice.
