Tamara Moots College Avenue Hat

The College Avenue Hat by Tamara Moots is designed with basic knits and purls. It is simple to work with a fun finished feel. This versatile pattern gives you three different sizes that follow the same directions—the only differences are the yarn used and the number of stitches!

Sizes: Toddler (Child/Adult S, M) 
Finished Measurements: 17½ (19¼, 21¾)” circumference
Yarn Requirements: Yarn weight and yardage vary by size of the hat
     Toddler  – 175 yards of DK weight yarn such as Berroco Vintage DK (50% Acrylic/ 40% Wool /10% Nylon; 100g/288yds)
     Child/Adult S – 145 yards of worsted weight yarn such as Brown Sheep Lamb’s Pride Worsted (85% Wool/15% Mohair; 4oz/190yds)
     Adult M  – 140 yards of bulky weight yarn such as Valley Yarns Haydenville Bulky (60% Superwash Merino/ 40% Acrylic Microfiber; 100g/109yds)
Needles:
     Toddler  – US 6 (4.00mm) 16” circular
     Child/Adult S – US 7 (4.50mm) 16” circular
     Adult M  – US 10 (6.00mm) 16” circular
Gauge:
     Toddler  – 22 sts and 28 rnds = 4” in pattern after blocking
     Child/Adult S – 20 sts and 24 rnds = 4” in pattern after blocking
     Adult M  – 14 sts and 20 rnds = 4” in pattern after blocking
