Maida Kit is available in two options per size—a complete kit with the PDF pattern download and all the Berroco Summer Silk needed to knit this shrug and a kit containing only the yarn if you have previously purchased the pattern.
Maida from Twist Collective combines lace patterning with an interesting construction to make a great layering piece for spring. The sleeves and upper body of the shrug are knit from the cuff to the center back and joined with a three needle bind-off. Stitches for the lower body are picked up and worked to the hem, changing the direction of the lace pattern. The collar and front bands are picked up and knit in ribbing, and the sleeves are seamed last. Berroco Summer Silk, a chainette blend of silk, cotton, and nylon with great stitch definition, makes Maida perfect for layering over your favorite dress. Note: The lace pattern is both written and charted.
