Designed in partnership with the Hartford Artisans Weaving Center, this draft is filled with tips and tricks for weaving a successful wool rug. The final product is entirely reversible, giving you two rugs for one effort on the loom. Made with 4-shafts, this draft includes treadling directions for both a 6-treadle loom, using a skeleton tie-up, as well as a 10-treadle loom.
Equipment: 4-shaft floor loom with a 24” minimum weaving width*, 3 rug shuttles, temple. *Note: Instructions are included for a 4-shaft, 6-treadle loom using a skeleton tie-up as well as a 10-treadle tie-up if you choose to use an 8-shaft loom for easier treadling.
