#1133 Bedford Cardigan
The Bedford is a sophisticated cardigan coat designed by Julie Turjoman for intermediate knitters seeking a practical layering piece for mild fall weather. Construction and Techniques: The Bedford cardigan is worked back and forth in rows from the ribbed hem through the armholes, incorporating A-line shaping for a flattering silhouette. At the armholes, the piece is divided to work the back and fronts separately. Sleeves are then worked down in the round from the armholes, and collar stitches are picked up along the bound-off neck edges and worked back and forth in rows. Button bands are integrated with the body during construction. Optional patch pockets are worked separately and seamed to the fronts during finishing.

Additional materials include stitch markers (including 2 in a unique color for pattern tracking), a tapestry needle for weaving in ends, 9 buttons at ¾" diameter, and a sewing needle with matching thread for button attachment.
