This yarn is very soft with great stitch definition. Would make lovely cables and other textural stitches. I'm getting about 5.5 stitches to the inch on a #6 needle, unblocked. I would definitely use this inexpensive yarn again!

Valley Yarns Haydenville DK is little sister to Haydenville and Haydenville Bulky with the same extraordinarily soft blend of superwash Merino and acrylic microfiber. Haydenville DK has a gentle sheen and crisp stitch definition that's ideal for cables and colorwork. This machine-washable yarn is excellent for everything from sweaters and accessories to blankets and kids' projects.

It is really great yarn to work with. I have made four sweaters using Haydenville. It is soft, yet sturdy.
Lovely soft yarn. Color as advertised. Came in timely fashion. Well pleased and second time I've used for baby blankets.
I have found that prewash yarn sometimes results in a "floppy" character to the item knitted. While this yarn knits up easily and I really like the sage color, I was a bit disappointed that the baby sweater I knitted did not hold its shape as well as I would have liked.
Yarn is great to knit with--soft
I use this yarn to make children’s clothes. It is very soft and easy to knit. Recipients of the finished garments report good experiences with frequent machine washing. It holds up well over time.
More like sport weight than worsted
Lovely soft yarn. Easy to work with. Well pleased with purchase and delivery time.
Love this yarn! I knit one baby blanket with it, then bought enough for two more blankets. Very soft and works up nicely.
I crocheted a baby cardigan, and it came out lovely! I'd purchase this DK yarn again.
