Product Details
Soft, tweedy Valley Yarns Taconic is a bulky yarn that's named after the Taconic Range, known for its natural beauty and scenic landscapes. Taconic is a soft blend of Merino wool and cashmere, with multicolored tweedy flecks that give the finished fabric a fantastic visual texture. This is a great yarn for quick but luxurious projects, like hats, cozy cowls, pullovers and much more.

Taconic is, to date, one of the easiest yarns to work with and I’m absolutely smitten with how soft and cozy it works up and how much of a joy it is to handle. The texture of the finished fabric has a lovely natural drape and looks great in many different stitch patterns. A word to the rough of hand: be sure to take care not to pull too hard on a strand, as it is not terribly difficult to break if you aren’t watching your tension. I found no issue with this quality as I was working on my project but figured it was worth mentioning in case any weavers were thinking of using it as a warp.
I am making a vest with it. It is a well constructed yarn and knits up easily. The blue is a medium blue but there are slubs of white throughout. Quite charming.
Love the quality, my only issue is in one of balls of wool there were several joins of wool, I find that unacceptable
