Hand-dyed yarns have subtle variations in colors that are natural and may vary from skein to skein. There may be differences between pictures shown and the yarn you receive. To ensure the best results for your project:

  • Buy enough yarn for your entire project at one time.
  • When using hand-dyed yarn in your project work two rows from one skein and two rows from another skein to give an overall blended effect.

If you have any concerns about your hand-dyed yarn, please contact Customer Service for assistance in returning or exchanging your yarn.

Comments about WILDWOOD YARNS Tonal Chunky:

First: It's super soft and warm.
Second: The colors are deep and beautiful.
Third: The yarn is excellent quality. I know this for certain, because I re-knit with the same yarn *four times*. I made a sweater coat (Sylvi, on Ravelry), and it was too large. So I frogged it, and made the next smaller size, but didn't like all the weight on the raglan sleeves. Then I frogged it again, and made Amaryllis (also on Ravelry), but the finished sweater made me look really fat and lumpy. But finally, I made Lana, from Lene Samsoe's "Essentially Feminine Knits", and it was perfect! The style and fit were great, and the stitch definition, even after all that frogging, was just fine. It looks like a million bucks!

I can't say enough positive things about this yarn. I don't even really like working with bulky yarns, but this yarn really stood up to some torture, and is still beautiful.

Comments about WILDWOOD YARNS Tonal Chunky:

I bought one skein of this to start with, knitted a cowl as a gift, and loved it so much I went back and ordered a sweater quantity for myself. Plus a few extra. It is so soft and the colors are lovely - just the right amount of tonal variation to give it a little depth without pronounced pooling. Lots of drape due to the alpaca.

Love this yarn! I ordered the cranberry color and the hues are just lovely. The feel is great also. I'm making the Firelight Shawl from Valley Yarns and it is coming together beautifully and very quickly. I may order more yarn and make another shawl for a gift!

Comments about WILDWOOD YARNS Tonal Chunky:

This yarn worked up beautifully into a pattern I'd had for some years: Into the Woods, a lovely hood. All 4 skeins were whole and flawless, the hand was a joy with which to knit, and the subtleties in the colorway were exquisite. Very, VERY happy.

Comments about WILDWOOD YARNS Tonal Chunky:

I used this yarn to knit an alpaca throw for an Etsy customer of mine. She loved it. It is gorgeous yarn! I love knitting with it. I went back to order more, and there was only one color left. Excellent quality and service.

Comments about WILDWOOD YARNS Tonal Chunky:

I was hesitant to purchase this product since there were no reviews. It is so soft and great to knit with. I would definitely buy again. I am making the Umaro blanket, and purchased 14 skeins. They were able to provide all the same dye lot (I bought the cream color, so may not have mattered anyway...).
