Are you tired of weaving scarves? Would you like to learn some new techniques on your loom without committing to a huge project? We have just the class for you! We make small mats (approximately 6” x 6”) that can then be used for coasters or hot mats.Techniques offered include Log Cabin, Clasped Weft, Houndstooth and Chain Stitch. Pick up stick options include Waffle Weave, Danish Medallions, Leno Lace, Supplementary Weft Floats and Staggered Hemstitch. Learn new techniques in a small format and work at your own pace.
This is an intermediate level class and students must be able to thread their looms independently.
For the comfort and safety of our students and teachers, students may be asked to wear a mask during in person classes and workshops, and masks are available upon request.
Format: In-person
Prerequisite: Intro to
Rigid Heddle Weaving
Materials Required:
RH Loom, 15” or wider with a ten dent reed, loom stand or loom clamps, warping peg, threading hook, 2 small stick shuttles 9” or longer, one pick up stick 12” or longer, an additional shuttle or pick up stick 12” or longer, Fray Check, note taking supplies, 2 sturdy rubber bands, measuring tape, sharp scissors, pencil, several yards of scrap yarn. Bring your lunch.
Yarn: 2 - 4 contrasting balls
of dk weight cotton. (Valley Yarns Westhampton is recommended.) WOOL yarn is
NOT suitable for this class.

Cancellation
Policy: For all classes, payment of full tuition is due at time of
registration. Tuition will be refunded only if the class is cancelled by WEBS,
or if there is a waiting list and your spot can be filled.
