Product Details

Crochet stitches can vary quite a bit based on the way you pull up your loops. The marguerite or star stitch is surprising and satisfying crochet stitch that produces a fabric of adorable little daisy like stitches. A cotton blend produces an airy fabric that is prefect for those chilly spring mornings. In this techniques class students will learn how to make the stitch with a swatch to start their own scarf. Each individual stitch includes five different hook placements, which is an excellent exercise for students in reading their own work. We’ll experiment with hook sizes so that each student can swatch different gauges to get the fabric they like best. This stitch also provides students with a chance to experiment with controlling their own gauge through the “golden loop”: the first loop you pull up after inserting your hook into the stitch you're working in

For the comfort and safety of our students and teachers, students may be asked to wear a mask during in person classes and workshops, and masks are available upon request.
