*This class fulfills the Knitting Elective Requirement for WEKP.
Together we will knit the beautiful Belle Greene Shawl, along the way learning best practices for lace shawl knitting, including a garter stitch tab start, patterns of increasing, ways to make this shawl larger or smaller if desired, how to block lace shawls, and even how to fix simple mistakes. We will learn 2 ways to add beads to our knit stitches, including a deep dive into seed beads themselves, and which are best to use in our knit projects. At the end you will have a gorgeous lace shawl to keep your shoulders warm this spring and add a little sparkle to your days.
You will receive the Zoom link 1-2 business days before the virtual class.
Format: Virtual
Prerequisite: Students
must know basic lace stitches. This is not a good first lace or first shawl
project.

About 800 yards fingering weight yarn
24-inch (or longer) US #6 / 4mm circular needle, or size needed to obtain gauge
About 400 size 6/0 seed beads
Crochet hook small enough to fit into your beads
Oral B Superfloss (available at drugstores or Amazon, this is not regular dental floss)
4 stitch markers
Your knitter's toolkit

Policy: For all classes, payment of full tuition is due at time of
registration. Tuition will be refunded only if the class is cancelled by WEBS,
