Better Crochet Pattern Reading - Summer 2024

Gain the confidence to start tackling the crochet patterns you admire. This two part class helps students understand the language of crochet and how to interpret patterns. We’ll talk about selecting materials, and what to consider before choosing a pattern. Stitch along to learn the symbols, abbreviations, charts, and diagrams that are there to help you with your project. Understand the role of good finishing practices (blocking and weaving in of ends.) Everything you always wanted to know about gauge, but were too embarrassed to ask because you didn't swatch! In the second class, students will bring a pattern or two in for review, consultation and swatching. This is not a beginners’ crochet class. Students should be able to chain, single crochet, double crochet, and slip stitch with ease and have the confidence to complete basic crochet projects in their own.

For the comfort and safety of our students and teachers, students may be asked to wear a mask during in person classes and workshops, and masks are available upon request.

Cancellation Policy: For all classes, payment of full tuition is due at time of registration. Tuition will be refunded only if the class is cancelled by WEBS, or if there is a waiting list and your spot can be filled.
