It is soft but fiber splits easily when knitting. I bought it on sale and because pattern recommended it.
I use it often. It’s one of my favorites. Good quality at a good price.
What a lovely yarn to work with! I was lucky enough to catch it on sale, too. I'm knitting a baby blanket for a friend, and this is the perfect yarn for it. I have two Cascade books with baby patterns, and they're both excellent.
My favorite yarn, Cascade Superwash 220, from my favorite yarn store, WEBS. Can't get better than that!
Very expensive yarn. So stretchy, that it is impossible to get a consistent knit weave no matter what I do. To make this baby blanket, which is a gift, presentable, I will have to go through most of the stitches and tighten them by hand. Ridiculous amount of work on my part for having spent over $100 for what is essentially garbage. Very disappointed. Will not use them again. I have tried to include a photo but your system refuses to accept it.
seems thicker (bulkier) than dk
It knits up soft and squishy on size 6 needles, perfect for a baby blanket. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that it splits rather easily.
Liked the color and softness of skein
Cascade Superwash is a reliable choice in any weight. Soft, consistent yarn that works for my need to have wool and the kids to have washability.
Superwash works well in any application. Nice stitch definition for patterns and cables.
