Cascade is a solid brand but this Pima cotton yarn is simply the best! It’s luxurious to knit up as it is soft and silky. It holds its shape well and I would recommend it to anyone who’s looking for the perfect silky cotton yarn; not to mention the large selection of colors.
Service & shipping were very fast and the yarn was lovely! So soft and nice. (I would never rate it a DK. It is closer in size/weight to Aunt Lydia's #10 crochet THREAD , but I love it anyway.) Am working on a blanket with it now and am running out, because not enough in the Cobalt Blue color was available for me to purchase. I am now juggling my $$ so I can indulge in some more, to be able to finish this months-long project, called Midnight Roses, by The Crochet Couch. It is difficult to spend almost $500 on yarn for a yet-to-be-made blanket. Just like everything else in life, yarn prices are climbing up and up, higher and higher! If I don't sell it for $3000-$4000, I may just keep it. It is a wonderful cotton yarn and gorgeous pattern that will be an heirloom, lasting for decades if well-taken care of!
Very soft for Knitted Knockers.
Wish it came wound, but great quality yarn!
I am a volunteer knitter for Knitted Knockers. Cascade Ultra Pima is my ‘go to’ for knockers. I have used approximately 37 hanks of Ultra Pima since I started knitting for Knitted Knockers a year and a half ago. Quality yarn, lovely color choices, good stitch definition.
Cascade Ultra Pima makes them best Knitted Knockers
This yarn is a silky cotton yarn which softens up after washing. I am knitting up a baby blanket and after washing my gauge swatch, I was impressed that it didn’t shrink much, if at all, but softened up even more. It did lose a bit of the sheen, but it is still a little shiny.
Very nice yarn to work with, both for knitting and crocheting. Wonderful range of colors.
I have used this yarn before. Enjoy knitting with it. Took two weeks for it to be delivered. Northampton by the way of New Mexico to get to Connecticut. Ridiculous !!!
I love how soft and the color of each skein.
