Cast On, Bind Off - V - Spring 2025

*This class fulfills the Cast Ons & Bind Offs Requirement for WEKP.

In this class you will move beyond the basic long-tail cast-on and the traditional bind-off. Explore a world of other methods that can give your knitted items a professional look.

You will receive the Zoom link 1-2 business days before the virtual class.

Format: Virtual

Prerequisite: Knitting I or equivalent; must know long-tail cast on
Materials Required:

~175 yards of DK/worsted weight light color, rolled into 7 25-yard balls (ex. Valley Yarns Northampton or Valley Superwash)

A few yards of mercerized cotton (for provisional cast on)

DPNs in a size recommended by the ball band

HOMEWORK:

Using Long Tail Cast On, cast on 20 sts and work in stockinette for 4”. Bind off in traditional bind off. Block swatch and bring to class.
