Celtic Cables with Fiona Ellis - V- Summer 2025

When knitting cables based on Celtic patterns there are some techniques that you may not use in regular rope cables. While you knit a sample to try them out, Fiona will demo the techniques, show you how to read the charts- including looking at the symbols used, and for the more advanced cable knitter discuss how you might modify patterns to make them your own. With an understanding of what is taking place when cabling you will be better able to follow a pattern or fix any mistakes as they arise (which never happens right?)

You will receive the Zoom link 1-2 business days before the virtual class.

Format: Virtual

Materials Required:

a ball of medium weight yarn, yarn appropriate needles, cable needle, pencil & paper.

HOMEWORK:

Cast on 24 sts, work 2 rows in Seed stitch. Then work the following 2 rows, leaving the stitches live on the needle for class.

Row 1 (RS): P10, k4, p10.

Row 2: K10, p4, k10.

Cancellation Policy: For all classes, payment of full tuition is due at time of registration. Tuition will be refunded only if the class is cancelled by WEBS, or if there is a waiting list and your spot can be filled.
