Color Gamp Camp - Summer 2024

A color gamp is an interesting tool to look at how different colors interact in warp and weft. We will start with some basic color theory to set the stage.  Then it will be time weave two types of color gamps here at WEBS!  We will have couple of looms set up with a spectrum of warp colors that you can weave into a color gamp square that you can take home with you.  We will also have a couple of looms set up with neutral colors in the warp that you can weave with the color spectrum as the weft.  These gamps will provide you with a helpful study piece showing what different color interactions look like so that you can know what to expect as you choose different colors for your weaving projects.  This class is appropriate for beginning weavers but some experience weaving on a rigid heddle or floor loom is recommended. Please note this class includes a 1-hour lunch break.

For the comfort and safety of our students and teachers, students may be asked to wear a mask during in person classes and workshops, and masks are available upon request.

Materials Required:

$20 materials fee is payable to the instructor at the start of class

Cancellation Policy: For all classes, payment of full tuition is due at time of registration. Tuition will be refunded only if the class is cancelled by WEBS, or if there is a waiting list and your spot can be filled.
