Designs by Romi Merope PDF
The Merope shawl from Designs by Romi is inspired by the youngest of The Pleiades (Seven Sisters). As a nymph, she was so embarrassed to have married a mortal that her star faded from view and only her six sisters and parents are still highly visible in the night sky as The Pleiades constellation. Merope, the shawl, has a split personality, as well: one all smooth stockinette for your inner nymph, and one with nubby stretches of mortal garter stitch. Both are knitted from the bottom tip - including edging - and bound off along the top of the triangle. The lace pattern is both written and charted.
