Fiber Dreams Clematis starts by
casting on just five little stitches at the bottom point. The lace grows from
this point into a delicate border winding its way up both sides of the shawl,
framing the garter stitch center. It is topped off with a whimsical little
Shetland border stitch knit as an applied border. The edges are mirror images
of each other, and a simple garter stitch center to makes this shawl as cozy to
wear as it is beautiful. The lace patterns are in chart form only.

Yarn Requirements: 720 yards of light sport weight yarn
such as The Fibre Co. Road to China Light (65% Baby Alpaca/ 10% Cashmere/ 10%

top border (optional)
Gauge: 15 sts and 14½ rows = 4" in garter stitch, blocked
