Fiber Dreams Autumn Sky is a knitting pattern
for a stunning lace rectangular wrap. Knitting begins in one corner with a cast
on of 4 stitches. The border is knit at the same time as the shawl's body until
the end when it turns into an applied edging so that all four sides have the
same lacy frills, and the stitches are bound off before you know it. The
lace patterns are charted and written out.
Skill Level: Intermediate/Experienced
Finished Measurements: 12½ (18½, 21½)” wide; 71¾ (71¾, 82½)” long at the top, and 89¾ (89¾, 100¾)” long at the bottom
Yarn Requirements: approximately 575 (975, 1275) yards of lace weight yarn such as AMANO Mayu Lace (60% Royal Alpaca/ 20% Cashmere/ 20% Mulberry Silk; 50g/437yds)
Needles: US 4 (3.50mm)
Hooks: US 13 (.85mm)
Gauge: 20 sts and 19 rows = 4” in lace stitch pattern, blocked
