Product Details
Tunisian crochet is a little bit crochet, a little bit knitting, and a lot of fun! Also known as Afghan Stitch, this hybrid technique uses a special crochet hook to quickly create blankets, place mats, scarfs, and garments. In this introductory class you'll learn the Tunisian Simple Stitch and the Tunisian Knit Stitch, as well as how to increase and decrease.
You will receive the Zoom link 1-2 business days before the virtual class.
Format: Virtual
Materials Required:
Smooth, light- or medium- color sport, dk or worsted weight yarn
Tunisian crochet hooks in size(s) appropriate for your yarn, or an interchangeable crochet hook set, scissors (see note below)
A Note About Hooks from the Instructor:
"You'll need a much
larger hook than you usually use with your chosen yarn. For example, I
typically use an 8 mm hook with worsted weight yarn. If you are purchasing a
hook, I do not recommend that you get the cheapest ones from Amazon. These tend
to be poor quality and will not give you a good experience. Many people like to
use interchangeable hooks. I usually prefer straight hooks for some
reason."
HOMEWORK:
If you don't know how to crochet a chain, please practice that before class. You should be comfortable crocheting a simple chain.
