Ailsa from Jen Hagan Designs is a fabulous top-down sleeveless top that is worked in three pieces and seamed together before picking up stitches along its lower border and knitting the skirt from there down. The cables & lace lower body of the garment increases as it goes. Rib cage measurement (just below the bust) is the main reference point, allowing this top to flatter any woman’s shape. The cable and lace patterns are charted and written out.

    Rib (Underbust) – 28½ (30¾, 33, 35¼, 37½, 39½, 41¾, 44, 46¼, 48½)”
Yarn Requirements: 625 (680, 725, 770, 815, 865, 910, 950, 1020, 1075) yards of DK weight yarn such as Valley Yarns Valley Superwash DK (100% Extra Fine Superwash Merino Wool; 50g/137yds) for a top with a 14” lower body, add 200 yds more for every 2” of length added
Needles: US 6 (4.00mm) 16" and 24" circulars
Gauge: 20 sts and 24 rows = 4" in stockinette stitch, after blocking
