Product Details
Jen Hagen Design’s Alford Aran Cardigan is full of juicy cables for a cozy sweater and an interesting project. It’s knit all in one piece, with only a couple of small grafts needed. A truly unisex design, you can make one for anyone you love. The models were knit in Cascade Yarns Ecological Wool and Plymouth Yarn Homestead. Both yarns are 100% wool with excellent stitch definition. The cable patterns are charted and written out.
Finished Measurements: 36¼ (42, 45, 49½, 52¼, 56¾, 61, 64)” chest
Yarn Requirements: 1120 (1330, 1460, 1850, 2000, 2200, 2415, 2600) yards of worsted weight yarn such as Cascade Yarns Ecological Wool (100% Peruvian Wool; 250g/478yd) shown in 8087 Coffee and also Plymouth Yarn Homestead (100% Wool; 100g/191yds) shown in 023 Dusty Blue
Needles: US 9 (5.50mm) 36” circular and a set of five DPN or two 16” circular
Gauge:
22 sts and 23 rows = 4” in combination Charts A, B & C cable patterns, blocked
18 sts and 25 rows = 4” in sleeve pattern (combination Chart A and stockinette stitch), blocked
19 sts and 21 rows = 4” in 2 by 2 rib, blocked
