Secret Garden Tam from Jen Hagan
Design was inspired by the movie of the popular children’s book by Frances
Hodgson Burnett knit in Cascade Yarns 220. Wear it for your own winter garden frolic. The
basic tam o’ shanter is knit in the round and flocked with purl rounds. Cascade
Yarns 220 is 100% wool, worsted weight yarn that is available in an incredible
selection of colors, including many beautiful heathers.
Finished Measurements: 20 (24)” circumference at rib
Yarn Requirements: Approximately 200 yards of worsted weight yarn or
1 hank Cascade Yarns 220 (100% Wool; 100g/220yds) shown in 9460 Dune
Heather (WEBS do not carry this color)
Needles: US 7 (4.5mm) 16” and 24” circular needles and DPNs
Gauge: 20 sts and 24 rows = 4” in stockinette stitch, after blocking
