Product Details
Whalsay Gansey Pullover from Jen Hagan Design is a
fabulous sweater that any man would want in their wardrobe! Whalsay Gansey
Pullover is knit from the bottom up in the round with knitted-in underarm
gussets. The upper chest front, and back pieces are divided at the midpoint of
the gusset and knit flat separately. The sleeves are knit from the top down
from the end of the shoulder to the ribbed cuff. The collar is knit in the
round after the upper body pieces are joined. The Gansey patterns are
charted and written out.
Finished Measurements:
Chest – 33½ (35¼, 38½, 40), (41½, 43¼, 46½, 48), (49½, 51¼, 54½, 56)”
Length – 22¼ (22¾, 23, 23½), (26, 26½, 27½, 28½), (29, 29½, 30, 30½)”
Yarn Requirements: 925 (970, 1050, 1125), (1320, 1400, 1535, 1645), (1725, 1800, 1935, 2000) yards of worsted weight yarn such as Cascade Yarns 220 (100% Wool; 100g/220yds) shown in 9332 Sapphire
Needles: US 7 (4.50mm) 16”, 24”, & 36” circular and DPNs
Gauge:
20 sts and 26 rows/rnds = 4” in Chart B pattern with 12 repeat center stitches, after blocking
22–24* sts and 26 rows/rnds = 4” in 2 by 2 ribbing, after blocking
*depending on how the rib is blocked
