The Mary Swanson Cardi-Vest from Kate Oates is a versatile garment that is worked in one piece from the bottom up. One version features crossover ribbing and a stranded colorwork design on the front, while the other is a hooded vest with a shawl collar. Instructions are provided for making a shorter, waist-length sweater as well as for a longer, hip hitting version.
Yarn Requirements: Bulky weight yarn such as Cascade Eco +
MC- 600 (675, 750, 825, 900) yards (add 40 yards for hip length sweater)

CC2- 20 yards
Needles: US 9 (5.5mm) needles and DPNs
Gauge: 14 sts and 16 rows = 4” in stockinette stitch
