Burtonport PDF


Kelbourne Woolens Burtonport by Courtney Kelley is meant to be worn with plenty of positive ease for a comfortable fit, perfect for layering. It's knit in pieces and seamed, and the neck band is picked up and knit afterwards. This is an easy to knit pattern, perfect for a first sweater. Knit in The Fibre Co. Arranmore, a gorgeous tweed.

Sizes: 44.75 (50.25, 59.75)” finished bust. Sweater is designed to be worn with at least 6-10” of positive ease. 
Yarn: The Fibre Co. Arranmore (80% merino wool, 10% silk, 10% cashmere; 175 yds/100 gm skein) in color Brannagh, 6 (7, 8) skeins.
Needles: 1 – US 7 - 24” circular or pair straights; 1 – US 7 - 16” circular; 1 – US 8 - 24” circular or pair straights.
Gauge: 15 sts + 24 rows = 4” in seed stitch on larger ndls, after blocking. 17 sts + 28 rows = 4” in K2, P2 Ribbing on smaller ndls, after blocking.
