In the nearly 60 years I’ve been knitting; I’ve never run across a pattern with worse instructions. Possibly a translation issue from the original if it wasn’t written in English? I've reached out to the WEBS crafting team and they are currently reviewing the pattern and hope to clarify. Seed Stitch pattern is typically Row 1: k1, p1 Row 2: p1, k1 But this pattern has the following for Seed Stitch: Row 1: k1, p1 Row 2: p1, k2 Is this a typo? Or just a variation for this pattern? Also, before the start of Section III, the note says “(For Sections III – VI Decrease an extra stitch at the beginning of every Pattern Set – K2tog)” What is considered the beginning of every Pattern Set? Is that the Section? Or, beginning of the Seed Stitch 4 rows, then beginning of the Open Check Stitch Three Sets, so decrease extra stitch every 6 rows for this pattern? Then decrease an extra for the Seed Stich 4 rows, then Ridge Stitch decrease extra stitch every 8 rows? It says repeat 2 times, does that mean 3 sets of Ridge Stitch or 2? It would have been helpful if the pattern listed the number of stitches after each section so you could check the work. Then, “(For Sections VII – XI Decrease and extra stitch at the beginning of every row on the side of PM – K2tog – until 3 sts to finish)” Very confusing…….and horrible instructions. I love the yarn, but hate the way the pattern is written.
