Push My Buttons PDF
Push My Buttons is a scoopneck pullover that is worked from the top-down with set-in sleeves that are worked simultaneously with the upper bodice (a photo tutorial is included so that you can check your work as you go). Worn with slim pants and a pair of tall boots, the metal buttons give it a touch of attitude. This sweater really says “Hit me with your best shot, Baby!”
The button plackets are faux (with no buttonholes to work), and are picked up and worked from the hem and sleeves once the bodice is completed. Add as many buttons as you like--a total of 15 buttons was used in sample knit, although depending on the type of buttons you choose, you may wish to play around with the number added.
Shaping to the waist and hip is accomplished along princess “seams” to allow for maximum customization. There is a detailed “Some Thoughts About Fit” in the pattern for advice on how to adapt the shaping to your own fit preferences.
