This class is for the adventurous knitter. In this class you will learn how to use the magic loop method to make a pair of toe up socks. To learn the techniques, you will make a pair of socks using worsted or DK weight yarn. A pattern is not needed as you will fit the sock to your foot using the try on as you go method. We will cover various toe and heel options, short row choices and stretchy bind off methods. Yarn options and measuring will also be discussed. You will make this pair to fit your feet, and will be able to use techniques learned to make socks for others as well. You’ll be able to use what you learned in class and apply it to mittens, hats and sleeves. Making socks toe-up allows you to use any weight yarn to make socks for yourself or others without having to follow a pattern. By making them both at the same time, you will avoid the dreaded second sock syndrome.
You will receive the Zoom link 1-2 business days before the virtual class.
